The ‘patches’ are … The ‘patches’ are from the very strong and harsh studio lighting which does the model no favours. But he was clean shaven afterwards and if you scroll through the comments you will find one from the model. Let us know what your specific shaving problem is and we’ll do our best to help out.
The trick is to … The trick is to reduce the beard in several passes in different directions, reducing the beard pass by pass. You really have to take a look at mantics shaving videos. I for myself have a really sensitive skin. Since I followed mantic’s instructions, I finally have no rashes, burns, perfect skin.
i need help shaving … i need help shaving my upper lip. i cant do more than 2 strokes in the same place without getting cut , but i cant get rid of the stubble that grows ther, and if i do get a clean shave i always get cut ther , help?
Please mail our … Please mail our Customer Care team direct at care (at) shave (dot) com and they can help you directly on this (they need to know which razor you are using and some other info in order to help you fully). Thanks!
3 years using kos … 3 years using kos shave gel and it never disappoints me! i can’t wait to use the azor. I’m sure it will be a great product as well.
I was always big on … I was always big on organics, and I shave after applying soap and warm water. I also used, in the past, Fusion gel, and whaddya know? It has the same effect. A clean shave. So, since then I just save on money and use Dial soap and warm water. But for after-shave, what do you recommend?
You can use … You can use whatever you like to shave with if it works for you. We would recommend a quality shave oil or gel (like King of Shaves). But then we would! After shaving, and if using a gel ensure it is thoroughly rinsed off (no need to do this with one of our shave oils), pat your skin dry and then apply a quality moisturiser or post shave balm to help protect your face and keep it hydrated. Do it within 5-10mins to ensure you lock moisture into your skin.
hey man use a shave … hey man use a shave oil, i had the same problem but once i started using a shave oil it was so easy to shave there, never had a cut since. i could even shave agaist the grain on my upper lip with out cutting myself. i use the beard master shave oil from grooming lounge the best shave oil they have out.
This is my advice : … This is my advice :
Do use shaving soap
and don’t use razors with more than one blade!!!
they will irritate your skin more than any soap in the world.
instead use a safety razor or a straight razor
A good shaving soap will also soften the beard much more effective.
And please don’t tell people wrong information like this
Most men cannot be … Most men cannot be bothered to learn how to shave with a single-blade cut-throat razor. I certainly have ‘better’ things to do with my time. This video is aimed at the *vast* majority of men who shave with a multi-bladed system or disposable razor.
A purist racing … A purist racing driver would never dream of driving a car that had power steering, was front wheel drive or had antilock brakes. They have the skill and dedication to get the best from their machine. The rest of us do drive such vehicles! The same with razors…
In our humble … In our humble opinion, and we have been making shaving gels and oils for over 15 years and are number 2 in the UK market so we must be doing something right (!), and if you follow our shaving guide, you *will* get a better shave and skin. You may be a fan of traditional shaving soap but it does dry the skin (ask any woman if they put soap on their face). But feel free to use whatever method that works for you. We’re not *telling* anyone what to do, just suggesting…
I didn’t say that … I didn’t say that you are doing it not right.
Also i didnt say that soap doesn’t dry the skin.
So what?
The only arguments i made were, that soap softens the beard more efective and that multi bladed razors irritate the skin.
And at least the last one is true!
He hasn’t even … He hasn’t even started to remove his beard!KOS products are crap!Soap doesn’t dry your skin, sodium lauryl sulphate(as used to emulsify oil°rease metal does). It’s SLS thats in KOS gels.Use a proper soap&brush, and avoid oil for a good daily shave.
You are entitled to … You are entitled to your opinion! However we believe, and by our sales growth our customers would agree (!) that King of Shaves products don’t dry out your skin and that our shaving oils give an amazing shave. If our products were really ‘crap’ then we wouldn’t be the number 2 brand by value in the UK. But it’s a free country, use whatever works for you!
Any blade if it is … Any blade if it is not clean and sharp and if it is used ‘badly’ can help irritate the skin along with a poor choice of shaving prep (eg foam etc). If you do suffer shaving irritation or rash then change your blade, shaving ‘software’ and improve your shaving and skincare routine
We recommend you * … We recommend you *don’t* shave against your hair growth, or rather ‘against the grain’, as this is one of the major causes or rash burn / rash.
If you have very heavy beard growth shave once in the direction of your hair’s growth, then re-wet the area with warm / hot water, re-apply your shaving gel, oil or serum, and then shave *across* the direction of hair growth (across the grain).

Try the new King of Shaves Azor – the blades are designed to last longer and they cost a lot less than a Fusion’s.
